Community Initiative For Development (CIDev) is an apolitical, charitable and nonprofit making association with its headquarters in Bamenda, specifically Bamenda III municipality. It was founded by 20 philanthropic women in the year 2019 and was legalized in the year 2021 with registration number 156/NW/DERPROFF/RC/467/B3/22.


We are committed to empowering the lives of the underprivileged girls and women of the Bamenda III municipality especially those affected by the socio-political crises in the NW/SW regions of the country Cameroon.



Our Vision





We envisage a community where girls will be motivated to go to school, carry on petite businesses, impact household incomes, improve family health and par-ticipate in community management such that at the end of the day, they will live a stress free and happy life.


Our Mission





Motivate change by impacting the lives of the community and the underprivileged girls and women by transforming their wishes into excel-lent outcomes and actions. This helps to stamp out the risks of idleness and vulnerability of the underprivileged girls and women like child abuse, child labour, early pregnancies or premature marriages before the age of 18.

CIDev stands for innovation, justice, transparency, collaboration and teamwork.


We challenge each other to continuously learn and strive for excellence with equality and dignity in treating colleagues.



Who we serve



We train and empower the lives of the underprivileged girls and women within the local community of the Bamenda III municipality such that their attitudes/actions will motivate other girls and women in the community.



Sustainability



CIDev will continue to help the underprivileged girls and women in their community and disseminate strategies to expand projects to nearby needy communities.
