Third Outreach, Recommendations and Difficulties

DESCRIPTION OF EVENT

The objective of this event was to impact the lives of 21 underprivileged women and girls in the Bamenda III municipality by giving financially assistance to them for petite businesses like food stuffs for marketing and raising profits which could be used to feed their families. Envelopes were handed by designated members to the beneficiaries. They was a heart rend appreciation from two previous beneficiaries through songs and praises. Our event was a huge success, not only was everyone pleasantly surprised at such philanthropic gestures from the CIDEV members, which sparked curiosity and interest for such a wonderful humanitarian services rendered to the underprivileged women and girls.

First anniversary celebration of the association. It started with holy mass at St. Faustino Catholic Church with a uniform launch.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Tell our beneficiaries to always inform us in case of any change in their address or phone number

We get two contact numbers per beneficiary at the initial stage

Organize quarterly meetings where we invite the beneficiaries instead of going to them and in this case their transport fare will be reimbursed.

DIFFICULTIES

Loss of follow up either due to change of address, contact numbers and poor communication.

Some beneficiaries went the family way thereby putting less energy into their businesses

Some beneficiaries engaged in businesses that were heavier than their capital

Some beneficiaries that were still minors had their start off capital or part of it diverted by their parents to their own benefits

Some beneficiaries livelihood depended solely on the capital they were given.
